The Position: IT System Administrator
Employment Status: Full-time
Hours per two-week pay-period: 80
Essential Job Functions:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
- Manage virtualization infrastructure Hyper-V and VMware, including provisioning, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of the IT team, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and proper workload distribution.
- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning and resource optimization.
- Maintain backup and recovery strategies across on-prem and cloud environments (e.g., Veeam, Azure Backup).
- Oversee patch management and vulnerability remediation for servers, workstations, and endpoint devices.
- Implement and maintain security controls in alignment with organization policies and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Document systems, configurations, procedures, and network diagrams for knowledge base and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs and propose effective technical solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by frontline technicians.
- Manage user lifecycle operations including onboarding/offboarding, access control, and role-based permissions.
- Lead IT projects from planning to implementation, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical systems when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Drivers License
- 5 years in a Server management, System Administration, System Engineer type role
